Paving the Paediatric Path with GP Inclusion and Care Transition

WHO WE ARE

The Paediatric Society of Queensland was established in Qld in 1949. A number of pioneering professionals saw the need for a forum in which all doctors whose life was committed to the clinical care, safety, welfare and preventive health of children might meet together with common purpose, and thus the Paediatric Society of Queensland was formed.

The Society is open to clinicians in the many disciplines involved in the care of children, either in the community, general practice, hospital or private practice across a range of specialties including child psychiatry, paediatrics, neonatology, surgical specialties, anaesthesia, radiology and pathology.

An annual educational meeting is held during September/October, with an aim to give paediatricians and trainees from around Queensland and Australasia an opportunity to network, meet subspecialists, hear about Queensland services and clinical issues, and update clinical knowledge.

The Paediatric Society of Queensland (Incorporated) is a craft group of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Medical Association.
